By: Napa Valley Vitners
The California Wine Institute just concluded its 91st Membership & Annual Board of Directors Meeting, held this year at Louis M. Martini Winery. While still reveling in the success of Auction Napa Valley, Robin Baggett, owner and managing partner of Alpha Omega, was elected Wine Institute Board Chair for 2025-2026.
Other officers elected were Gretchen Roddick of Hope Family Wines in Paso Robles, first vice chair; Ben Dollard of Treasury Wine Estates America, second vice chair; Ed Matovcik of Constellation Brands, treasurer; and Christine Wente of Wente Family Estates, secretary. Outgoing chair, Matt Gallo of Gallo Vineyards, Inc., was thanked for his service to the organization.
We are delighted to have both Robin Baggett and Ed Matovcik also concurrently serving on the NVV Board of Directors as both organizations are focused on advocating for the wine industry at the state, federal and international levels.
Also elected for the 2025-2026 term were the District Directors and Alternate Directors for Napa Valley.
